Traditionally, this year again we had the pleasure of joining the 37th edition of the International Tourism Exchange “Vacation and Spa Expo”, which took place on the 13th, 14th and 15th of February in Inter Expo Center, Sofia. This exposition is one of the most important events for the tourism industry in Bulgaria this year.

We thank our clients, friends and all those who visited us and came to exchange some ideas and discuss future joint projects!

It was a pleasure for us to drink a cup of coffee and talk about our future common goals and interests in thearea of tourism. The International Tourism Exchange annually represents how much the tourism sector is developing and we are proud of being part of the exposition once again.

The topics, which were discussed by us, were linked to digital marketing, effective advertising, social media presence, review sites, technology solutions and innovation in the tourism sector!

We hope that we have been as helpful and as exhaustive as possible. However, if you have any questions, you can always contact us by email or phone.

We have also told you about our open trainings that we are preparing and for which we will soon upload information to our updated website. The trainings will be focusing on the tourism area, digital marketing and advertising, online reputation and many more major topics related the development of a tourism business.

Konstantin Zankov, manager of Travel Mind, was awarded “successful manager in tourism” at the “Destination Bulgaria – Bulgarianmunicipalities – tourism, culture and business”. The criteria which led to the commission’s choice were the achievement of high results in tourism and professional management – factors which validate Bulgaria as an attractive tourist destination. The ceremony held place in Central Military Club, Sofia, “Tarzhestvena” Hall. The event was organised on the eve of World Tourism Day with the support of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, the non-governmental sector and media partners. Guests of the official ceremony were members of the Parliament, mayors of municipalities, investors, managers, representatives of the tourism industry and the media.

Konstantin Zankov has management experience in different business sectors linked to tourism such as hotels, travel agencies, restaurants, technology and marketing companies. He is the founder of “Travel Mind” – a marketing and consulting company, which works with travel businesses and destinations from home and abroad.

He graduated a bachelor’s degree in “Tourism” and a master’s degree “Business Administration”. He specialised in marketing management and business development in the tourism sector. Konstantin achieved additional qualification during various trainings and specialisations in more than 10 countries. At the time of his research work Konstantin Zankov participated in various research projects. He also has many scientific publications.

Mr Zankov is also a business trainer and a consultant, helping with the business development of different companies in Bulgaria, Europe and the United States. He is a lecturer in the field of marketing, management and entrepreneurship at several Bulgarian universities and at different professional events.

Led by his interests, linked to tourism, communication, technology and innovation, for over 10 years now he has been following the dynamics and needs of the changing tourism sector by helping different companies and destinations develop successfully.

We all know how important digital marketing is today. That is due to the fact that tourists are online in the whole process of the consumer experience. At first, they look for information about the destination they want to visit, read reviews and comments from other tourists before they make their choice; they check the sites and social media profiles of the different tour operators and hotels, read their tips and tricks related to a specific destination… and so on until they finally choose and save their dream travel!

We are proud that for the second consecutive year a client of ours, this time in the face of Nikona Travel, won the “Digital Masters” Award for effective digital marketing in the sphere of tourism, a part of The Annual Awards by “Vacation and Spa Expo 2019”! This award was presented for the first time at the last year’s edition of the exposition and is a new category amongst the traditional awards at the tourism exchange. Distinguishing yourself with your digital strategy isn’t easy nowadays, as every business is online and strives to be more attractive than the others. We shouldn’t forget though that apart from attractive, digital marketing should be first and foremost effective and helping us realise the goals we have set for ourselves.
